Presentation Skills

Presentation Skills Course

Our presentation skills course builds the structure, slide design, and delivery confidence professionals need to speak clearly to managers, clients, and boards — and to be remembered for the right reasons when the meeting ends.

Duration 5 Days

Speak clearly. Be remembered.

Most workplace presentations fail for the same three reasons: unclear structure, bad slides, and nervous delivery. This presentation skills course fixes all three. Over five practical days, learners build the full toolkit — from how to structure an argument, through how to design slides that actually help, to how to stand up and deliver without freezing, rambling, or reading off the screen.

The course is deliberately hands-on. Every participant delivers multiple short presentations during the week, receives structured feedback from facilitators and peers, and records improvements on video so they can see their own progress. By the end of the course, learners have presented live at least four times and walked away with a playbook they’ll use in every future meeting.

The presentation skills course works brilliantly alongside Excel Skills (turning data into a story), Personal Mastery (managing nerves and feedback), and other soft skills courses. It’s a popular choice for graduate cohorts, management pipelines, and sales and client-facing teams.

What you’ll learn

Eight modules from structure to stage

The presentation skills course is structured around eight practical modules. Each builds on the last, moving learners from thinking about what to say, through how to show it, and finally how to deliver it under real pressure.

Module 01

Audience & Purpose

Every good presentation starts with the audience, not the slides. Learn how to define your audience, clarify your purpose, and choose the one message you want them to remember.

Module 02

Structure & Storytelling

Master the core presentation structures that work every time — problem-solution, past-present-future, SCQA. Turn a list of points into a narrative that carries your audience through.

Module 03

Slide Design Fundamentals

Learn why most slides fail and how to fix them. Typography, whitespace, colour, and the “one idea per slide” rule that separates professional decks from amateur ones.

Module 04

Data Visualisation

Turn numbers and tables into charts that actually communicate. Choose the right visual for the story, strip out clutter, and highlight what matters.

Module 05

Voice, Body & Presence

Practical techniques for voice projection, pacing, eye contact, posture, and hand movement. The physical dimension of presenting that most people ignore until it’s too late.

Module 06

Managing Nerves

Understand what causes presentation anxiety and build a practical pre-presentation routine to manage it. Confidence is a skill, not a personality trait.

Module 07

Handling Questions & Pushback

Learn how to take questions without losing control of the room. Handle tough questions, push-back, and the moment when you don’t know the answer.

Module 08

Final Delivery & Feedback

Deliver a full presentation to the cohort and facilitators. Receive structured feedback, watch your own recording, and build a personal improvement plan.

Who this course is for

The presentation skills course is designed for anyone whose work involves standing up and explaining something to other people — which is practically every professional role above entry level. It works as a standalone programme or as part of a broader development pathway.

  • Young professionals building credibility in meetings and pitches
  • First-time managers presenting to teams, peers, and leadership
  • Sales and client-facing staff running pitches and demos
  • Technical specialists who need to explain their work to non-technical audiences
  • Graduate and learnership cohorts preparing for client-facing work

What you’ll walk away with

Learners don’t just leave with theory — they leave with practice reps, a personal review, and reference materials they’ll actually use. Every module produces something concrete.

  • Four or more live presentation reps with structured feedback each time
  • Video recordings of your own presentations for review and improvement
  • A reusable presentation structure template for future decks
  • A slide design reference card covering typography, layout, and colour
  • A personal pre-presentation routine for managing nerves
  • A written development plan with specific areas to keep improving

Applied Learning

Facilitator-led sessions walk through structure, slide design, and delivery with live demonstrations and group critique.

3

Practical Workshops

Hands-on workshops have learners building, presenting, and refining real decks with feedback after every rep.
